Just when I thought I would never again have to exercise, I found myself on a treadmill, doing that thing I do when I’m bored or just in a rut. It was a little shocking. I had to have a change of thought.
I found myself in a gym, doing a bunch of cardio, some strength training, and some yoga. And guess what? It was the most fun I’ve had all summer. That’s saying a lot, because I really didn’t know what to expect.
It was an intense workout, and my first true experience with yoga. I got to hold, stretch, and breathe in the same way as my trainer. While I have not experienced yoga while working out, I can definitely feel the benefits of it. As well as the other benefits of cardio, and strength training, I got to do yoga for the first time. I can see how it would be an easy way to lose weight during the summer months. I also started lifting weights again.

I do yoga when I’m out. I was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago and am now on a course of chemotherapy. I have a lot of anxiety and can’t seem to figure out what to do.
